Engineer Twaha is a highly qualified and experienced Environmental Engineer with a strong background in water resources management.  His expertise lies in climate change, hydrology and hydraulics, making him a valuable asset for projects involving dams, roads, irrigation schemes, flood control, and water supply, bridges, culverts, and drainage systems. Also, he is proficient in flood risk assessment and flood inundation mapping, catchment management and water resources assessments. He has proven ability to collect, analyze, and interpret hydrological and meteorological data, skilled in using various software programs and remote sensing techniques for hydrological modelling, hydraulic analysis, and GIS applications. Has strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Ardhi University and a Master’s degree in Water Resources Engineering from University of Dar es Salaam.

He has been trained in Management of Water Resources in a Changing Environment which encompassed the principles of hydrological modelling and flood forecasting, Theory and application of HVB and HEC-HMS Model and Climate change, hydrological responses, and the Water-Energy-Food Nexus. He also trained in Evaluating Ecosystem Services with Remote Sensing, under NASA’s-ARSET, Groundwater Modelling, River Hydrology and Flood Risk Assessment, R Programming for Data Analysis and Geospatial data sources and processing for planning and engineering applications:

He is registered as a Professional Engineer with Engineers Registration Board, Tanzania as well as member of South African Hydrological Society (SAHS)
